About Amy Bennett: Professional Story

I have been licensed and practicing as a Massage Therapist since 2004. I received my primary bodywork education at East West College of the Healing Arts here in Portland, Oregon and I am honored to have serve as part of the  faculty from 2006 to 2015.

In 2013 I completed a yearlong program with Kinesis Myofascial Integration (KMI) and am currently a Board Certified Structural Integrator CM.

I am a current member of the Cycle Oregon Massage Team and look forward every year to seeing new parts of our beautiful state and meeting cyclists from all over the world who come to Oregon to take part in an amazing week.

Over the years, I have practiced massage and bodywork in a variety of settings and I am deeply honored to work with people from all walks of life. I have worked in chiropractic offices and under tents next to the ocean and in the woods. I work with people who are fundamentally healthy and simply seeking to maintain their well-being. I work with athletes in order to improve performance or recover from specific injuries. I see people recovering from motor vehicle accidents and joint replacements. In all of these cases, I work with my clients to help them achieve improved ease and function in their lives.

I maintain a private practice in NE Portland at FiveTenDekum where I have been since 2016. I have focused my career on deepening my understanding of the human body and of movement and function. I believe that movement is medicine and the role of somatic practitioners is to facilitate movement, function and balance for our clients.
